Pie

As most of you already know I am in a cooking class here and I absolutely love it. We started by making suckers and our skills have since reached the point that we were able to make pies. I thought it would be simply because I have watched my mom make them over and over agian and have sometimes even helped her. As I started it looked pretty good but as I rolled out the dough I realized I was in trouble. My dough wasn't rolling out and I had to do alot of patching on the bottom, which thankfully no one could see:) Then I embarked on the task of making the top crust. I tried to make a really pretty design and it turned out pretty well, but as I tried to put it on the rolling pin to transfer it to the top, disaster struck, and the whole thing fell apart!!! Well I couldn't roll it out again so I proceeded to cut out hearts which seems to be our apartment theme. I brought it home and cooked it and everyone who tried it loved it. However, I do feel some lessons from my mom coming as I go home during Thanksgiving.

This was my pie before it was baked.

Here it is in the oven. In the process of being baked.

And of course this is the pie all done. As you can see I was pretty excited and proud of my self for my first completed pie done from scratch all by myself! It was pretty delicous to if anyone was wondering!

Extravadance

This Friday I had the chance to attend Chrisitan and Brookes perfamance in exctravadance. It was a really fun night and I was so excited to finally see Christina dance. It was brought to my attention a couple of weeks that I had never seen her perform before. I was horrified that I was such a bad friend when she has come to multiple things to support me. So I made it a point to tell everyone that I would be attending and ,if it would have been aloud, would be screaming for her every time she was on stage. It was a really fun night and I realized how talented you have to be to dance.

SNOW:)

Yesterday morning I woke up to snow on the ground!!! Aside from me puting all of my consentration on not falling and making a fool of myself I was quite excited. It wasn't that weird for me but there is this girl in my interior design class that is from California. She has never really seen alot of snow before and thought snow in November was pretty wierd. I just wanted to say you are in for a very LONG winter!! Seeing the snow made me so excited for Christmas. I have even added Christams song to my playlist. I know it hasn't been thanksgiving yet but I am still so excited and I can't wait for Christmas. It will be here before we know it!!!
So, for my health and wellness class our assignment was to take a picture of something beautiful. So inbetween my cooking and Book of Mormon classes I decided to walk through the gardens and take some pictures of the first snow fall here at college. It's also great that as I walk up the hill every day I get to see the Beautiful temple. You can see it pretty much anywhere on campus!!!

Halloween

Our ward had a ward party a couple of days before halloween. My roomates had this great plan to dress up as crayons. Great idea right!! Well it was great but we procrastinated getting our costumes together for a long time so most people at the party didn't even know what we were!! Sad day, but hey we sure did have alot of fun!!!
We painted pumpkins for the activity.
Me and Christina even won cutest pumpkin. We thought amy and daniels was pretty great to. They are both grawhic design majors so we expected nothing less, but me and Christina were pretty proud of ourselves!!! We were a bit worried that our pumpkin was going to be really lame but it turned out way cute. And ofcourse I can't not mention the Crayon-o-Lantern, Mary's and Brooke's pumpkin.
Pretty much the night was a total blast!!!
