My Mom

As I said before it is the middle of finals week and tomorrow I have a five page paper due that all in all took me probably about....well it took me a really long time. The thing is it would have taken me a whole lot longer if my Mom wasn't so gosh darn amazing!!! She came down to Rexburg today to go to the temple and I asked her to stop by and read what I had gotten done and to help me a little bit with it. Well needless to say she stayed and helped me until about 10:15. I couldn't have done it without her and I am so greatful for all of the insights she gave me. So I looked up a cute little poem and I want to dedicate it to my mom becuase she is just so great and I take her for granted so much. So thanks mom your the greatest!

MOTHER...
Mother You filled my days with rainbow lights,
fairytales and sweet dream nights,
A kiss to wipe away my tears,
Gingerbread to ease my fears.
You gave the gift of life to me,
And then in love, you set me free.
I thank you for your tender care,
for deep warm hugs and being there.
I hope that when you think of me,
A part of you, you'll always see.

P.S. she hates when I take random pictures of her but I think she's a beauty!!!

Finals

Well just thought I would give a shout out to all of those who have gone through finals week at college int he past and for some people they are appraoching very very quickly. This week is finals week and I should be way more stressed out than I actually am! This week is gonna be a whirl wind but I jsut wanted to tell everyone how amazing I started my week off.
My roommates came to Ashton today for Sunday dinner. We all drove together and as we were leaving the Burg they were like it kind of feels like we are driving to nowhere! I was like what but it really is kind of. It made me realize though, as we drove into town, how much I love it in little old A Town. I know everyone and it is such a cute little town. Especially with the new light posts down main street!! I know I know pretty cool huh. And I just want you all to wish me luck this week and that everyone should count there blesings because they don't have to take like a hundred tests this week!!!

Black Friday and On

So me and my mom always go Black Friday shopping and I love it! The rush of getting a good deal, of getting the last one on the shelf. I had always heard stories about people getting trampled and fights breaking out for a certain item. I had never actually seen any of this happen, now I know it happens because I totaly witnessed it! Me and my mom were at WalMart, where I'm pretty sure everyone from every surrounding town also was, and were getting these sheets that were like major good deal.(I really wished I could tell this to everyone personally because hand motions and facial expression make this story so much more intense!) Ok so right next to the sheets there were those Cricket scarpbooking machines that must have been a fantastically good deal because when the Wal Mart people said it was time all of the people around those machines. I forgot what I was getting becasue I couldn't beleive this guy he was like a big guy and he had the look of you better not het in my way because if I don't get as many machines as I need someone is going to be hurt. And this is how pretty much everyone was even when the WalMart employees tried to step in and calm everyone down. Anyway there was a little girl inside all of the hustle and when it got to a certain point she was under tons of boxes, crying, and I'm sure was scared to death! And to make the story even better the mom didn't even get a Cricket machine!!! It all happened in a matter of seconds and not until after did I think, man I wish I would have whipped out my camera!! Oh man I couldn't even beleive my eyeballs! Like I said I love the ruch of getting a good deal, but leave your kids at home, and don't leave your at home.
So after the Wal Mart incident we went to all of the other stores we needed and later in the day met up with Jed, Kolby, and Max. We all went to lunch and then went to switch cars with my dad for our trip to Utah. As you can see from this next picture me and Kolby were having some fun! Those are M&M's that he got from my dad's work. And yes he stuck those up his nose I did not do it or even tell him to do it. I'm sure he learned that trick from someone...his Dad!

Then we were off to Utah with Jed and Amanda. We stayed in Salt Lake Frday and went to see the lights that night. They were so beautiful!

Saturday we went SHOPPING! Yes that was the second full day of shopping in a row. And it was so much fun. I am so glad that Jed and Amanda came with us and we could spend that time together. That night we went to the Jazz game thanks to Sam and Mary for letting us use their tickets at the Delta Center. We were really far up but it was still fun to see the players and watch an NBA game.

Over all this Thanksgiving Break was so much fun! It was great Sunday to have both Jed and Amanda, and Sam and Mary for another Thanksgiving feast! I love my family so much and am so excited for Christmas when Bethan and Terry are coming. And of course after that when I get to move to Kentucky to stay with Bret and Tania.

Thanksgiving Break!!!!

Well Thanksgiving came and I loved the whole thing and was definutely not ready to come back to school. To begin my Thanksgiving festivities I helped my mom with her annual Thanksgiving dinner for her first graders. As I walked into the class I was reminded of when I was in first grade. Yes mom I still can remember it. I was dressed as a pilgrim and Torie was an indian. We sat right across from each other that day and we were so excited. Just like all those little kids were. My mom is a great teacher!
Our Thanksgiving dinner was very small but we had so much to be thankful for. It was just me, my mom, and my dad. However, if you would have seen all of the food we had you still would have thought we had a whole house full. My mom and I cooked all morning. My mom taught me how to make pie like my grandma Clark taught her. I still need alot of practice but they were pretty good! After dinner was over we watched alot of football, James Bond, and slept! It was great:)
After we were done resting me and my mom put up with Christmas decorations. I know what you are all thinking "You put up CHRISTMAS decorations up on THANKSGIVIGN:O!! I understand where you are coming from but we had nothing else to do! So I put up the tree with my moms help, and also the village, while my mom put all the others up. It took alot of work but it was alot of fun and it brought even more of the Holiday spirit into our home. Here is the tree that we decorated. I have decided that next year we are going to have to put white lights up instead of the colored ones.

And here is the village.

I am so grateful that I could be home for Thanksgiving and for the time I was able to spend with my parents!

Good Times

Well ever since I came to college I hav been bugging my friends from high school to come and visit me. Well the weekend before Thanksgiving they finally came and it was such a blast!!!! It got pretty late as you can imagine and they found my camera and took loads of pictures! These are just a few of the ones that they took.

First we ate at Fongs where we were asked for our autographs form some little girls. Then we watch some movies at goodies and laughed our heads off. It was a great way to start the Thanksgiving break and a perfect example of the saying "Make new friends but keep the old one is silver and and the other gold." I miss my friends from Ashton every day and everytime they call me and tell me about the fun stuff they are doing without me I get kind of sad. But, at the same time I am having so much fun here and getting to know so many great people!

We had so much FUN and I LOVE those guys!!!!!
